The changes in mourning during social distancing has affected life’s most meaningful rituals. How do we grieve? How do we mourn?
Our Bereavement Program explores and supports people as they navigate their recent or past losses. We need support to help us through what are usually the most painful times of our lives. The 100 Mile Hospice Bereavement Program offers valuable support to our community. You or someone you know may have even taken part in one of our programs.
We offer so many resources and supports to our community. These include:
Education – what is grief, loss and mourning
Grief Support – one on one visits, support groups, supporting by telephone
Volunteers supporting Bereavement Clients
Programs for community – 6 week Grief Support Group, BC Bereavement Day, 4 week Art of Grieving Support Group, Hospice Winter Walk, Resources like handouts, books, DVD’s
Volunteer Training
Memory Tree
We would like to offer new programs as well. Your support makes a difference! Here are a few testimonials from people who have accessed Bereavement Support Programming.
“I feel better. The group has helped me so much”
“I’m empowered in my grief. I’m not going crazy, I’m normal. This loss has changed me, but I know I’m going to be okay.”
“Thank you! I don’t feel so alone in my grief. I sleep better too.”
